Got a Lathe?  Make a Throttle Lock!

If anyone has access to a lathe, they can make a throttle lock that works great. Pictures are pretty explanatory; one shows it off, one shows it applied, and the last shows the parts. Here's the details. Get a 7/16 NC left hand tap and drill out the bar end weight and tap it. Turn a little sleeve (I used aluminum) with left hand threads on it about .75 long, and drill it so the bolt will tighten up on the sleeve and let the weight screw in and out. The aluminum friction ring puts good pressure on the twist grip.

Cheap, unfussy.
